The Relentless Toyota Supra: Our Shop Build
A Relentless Motorsports TX shop build bringing together automotive electronics, motorsports experience and custom craftsmanship.
The Relentless Supra began as a JDM-spec car in rough condition. Over six years, it has evolved into an ongoing shop project that reflects the interests and experience behind Relentless Motorsports TX. Our team is made up of car enthusiasts with backgrounds in motorsports, engineering and automotive electronics. This build brings those disciplines together, from distinctive custom details to the next stage of its engine management and electrical systems.
A DISTINCTIVE VISION
Finished in Viola Hong Kong purple, a Ferrari SF90 color, the Supra wears custom Strasse Forged R10 wheels built for its aggressive fitment. Sparco seats and one-off carbon-fiber components continue the transformation inside, including a carbon rear-seat delete.
One of the build’s signature details is a Porsche 997 GT3 Cup-inspired wing blade, designed to integrate with the Supra’s TRD wing uprights.
CURRENT DRIVETRAIN: 2JZ-GE & T56 MAGNUM
The car currently runs a 2JZ-GE engine and has been converted from an automatic transmission to a T56 Magnum manual.
PLANNED 2JZ-GTE ENGINE BUILD
Relentless Motorsports TX and Watts Shop are collaborating on a fully built, Dart-block 2JZ-GTE targeting more than 1,000 horsepower. The planned combination includes a CNC-ported cylinder head and a 7685 turbo, with ECUMaster engine management, a power distribution module (PDM) setup and a Radium fuel system.
The engine build is in progress. The power figure is a target; confirmed results will follow once the new combination is complete and tested.
AUTOMOTIVE ELECTRONICS REPAIR & ENGINE MANAGEMENT
Automotive electronics are central to what we do at Relentless Motorsports TX. On this build, that work has included remanufacturing the power antenna control module after failing components damaged its circuit board. The planned engine management and PDM setup will carry that electronics focus into the Supra’s next chapter. It is a working example of how our enthusiasm for cars connects with the technical work behind them.
