Real repairs from the Relentless Motorsports TX workshop in Dallas, Texas. These examples show the detail involved in preserving original automotive electronics, from a damaged circuit-board pad to an aging Toyota Supra ECU and Porsche DME.
Before & After: ECU Circuit-Board Pad Repair
The challenge: A damaged solder pad on an ECU circuit board required localized repair. A pad is the conductive area where a component connects to the board.
The work: We repaired the affected pad to preserve the original ECU. The close-up photos were published on our business Facebook page with the captions “Before” and “After!” The red markings identify the repair area.
The result: The after photo documents the repaired pad. The vehicle application and a complete ECU test result were not specified in this particular post.

MK4 Toyota Supra 2JZ-GTE ECU: Trace Reconstruction
The challenge: This Supra ECU needed more than replacement components. Damaged traces and copper interrupted the board’s electrical pathways.
The work and result: We carefully repaired and reconstructed the affected pathways. Our workshop post documents the ECU as repaired and tested. This case illustrates why preserving older Toyota electronics can require detailed board-level work beyond a capacitor replacement.

Porsche 944 ECU: Preserving Original Electronics
Our Porsche 944 ECU repair is another example of the vintage Porsche electronics work handled by our workshop. The original post shows the unit and its circuit board. We also assess supported vintage through early-2000s Porsche DME applications, instrument clusters and other Porsche electronic modules.
